SENIOR PROJECT MANAGER

– (London, South East and National)

K2 is a leading, independent multi-disciplinary construction and property consultancy operating throughout the UK. In order to support the continued growth of our business, we are seeking to recruit an outstanding and ambitious Project Manager.

We are headquartered at Gatwick with an office in London, with many of our projects being in London and the South East. We are, however, pursuing National and International opportunities so the successful candidate should be mobile and flexible regarding their working location.

The role will include overseeing ongoing projects, undertaking business development activities to expand new opportunities and to lead bids and presentation teams.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Been responsible for multiple projects including undertaking project planning, design management, management of procurement, construction management & supervision.
  • Management & overseeing program and budget
  • Supervision and coordination of external consultants
  • Coordinated with clients, officials, consultants and contractors, plus attendance at regular project and site meetings
  • Comprehensive knowledge of building technology, engineering and construction principles
  • Clear understanding of risk management including identification, management, mitigation and risk transfer
  • A good understanding of forms of building contract and experience of contract administration
  • Strong interpersonal, bid writing and presentation skills
  • The ability to control day to day programming and planning, monitor progress and expenditure of projects
  • Membership of a construction related professional body, such as RICS, CIOB, APM, ICE etc.
  • Degree qualified plus a project management related qualification (MAPM or similar) – desirable

QUANTITY SURVEYOR

We are a leading and innovative UK-based construction consultancy. Using our skills, processes and knowledge we provide industry leading services to our clients. We provide a full range of Project, Cost Management and Construction Consultancy Services.

We are currently expanding our operations and are looking for a Quantity Surveyor based in our London office. The ideal candidate will be confident, ambitious and willing to work hard in exchange for the ability to influence and progress within the organisation.

You will be responsible for carrying out pre- and post-contract quantity surveying duties, working on private developments as well as public sector projects, generally ranging from £1m to £30m.

Essential attributes:

  • Proven track record of cost management of building projects from feasibility/option studies through to detailed cost planning and post contract cost management
  • Significant experience in consultancy environment and working on a variety of projects across a number of different sectors
  • Good knowledge of Value Engineering and Risk Management techniques
  • Fully conversant with the principal standard forms of building contracts including JCT and NEC3
  • Excellent communication and client facing skills, combined with strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Ability to generate new business enquiries
  • Degree qualified and full membership of RICS or working towards and equivalent professional accreditation
