PROJECT MANAGEMENT
K2 Consultancy has established a reputation for providing high quality strategic project management services across both public and private sectors. Once the strategic issues surrounding a project have been addressed we can then move on to provide full project management services, aimed at efficient delivery of the project.
We ensure that each client's objectives are clearly defined, with full knowledge of the implications of all the different options that may be available. Advice can cover location, type of facility, construction needs, potential risk factors and resource planning. Programme and cost targets, activities and interfaces are all closely monitored so that potential risks and issues are identified early and prompt action is taken. We place great emphasis on controlling and managing design as well as change; and each project is managed proactively.
COST & COMMERCIAL MANAGEMENT
At K2 Consultancy we provide strategic cost advice which allows our clients to make informed investment decisions. Ongoing cost management is then used to set and manage budgets. Our commercial management services include advice regarding the selection of the procurement route and options for the form of contract; these are key early decisions which establish the framework with which to manage time, cost, quality and the portion of risk. The ongoing development of the cost plan together with our interface with the design team and the client ensure that the overall project cost model is soundly based.
Our procedures require that production of tender documentation is a quality controlled process. Our objective in preparing these documents is that the contractor, the design team and the client all understand exactly what is to be delivered under the terms of the agreement. We are able to highlight risk areas of uncertainty and provide clients with strategies to mange these issues.
DEVELOPMENT MANAGEMENT
K2 have the skills and experience to work with developers and property owners to identify and evaluate development opportunities. We have the expertise to evaluate the financial and operational viability of schemes and to then formulate robust development options and strategies. CONSTRUCTION MANAGEMENT
Our Construction Management team provides expert project delivery skills to clients who wish to benefit from early impartial and objective construction advice. We then plan, procure and manage projects using specialist trade contractors to deliver the various elements of work.
As a risk sharing form of contract Construction Management delivers non confrontational attitudes, commercial transparency and speed of delivery whilst giving the client flexibility and the ability to be fully engaged with the project at all stages.
STRATEGIC PROJECT ADVICE &
MANAGEMENT CONSULTANCY
K2 Consultancy provides strategic advice to clients who may be embarking upon projects which exhibit high levels complexity, risk, or financial exposure. Acting as an independent advisor we are able to supplement or act entirely on behalf of clients who do not have the necessary skills or resources to manage new or difficult project situations. Sometimes we act as the client’s Project Director or provide coaching to members of the clients own in-house management team
K2 Consultancy reputed management team offers management and consulting services to private and public sector organisations providing consultancy on risk, disaster recovery, quality and assurance, procurement and contracts.
We can assist in undertaking project reviews, provide improvement strategies and where required provide ‘project rescue’ teams to take over and turn round projects in distress.
PROJECT PLANNING
Effective planning is a prerequisite for the on time and on budget delivery of any project. The project schedule provides the project with the outline structure and activity detail to ensure minimum risk to the overall delivery. Project planning enables project timescales to be understood, communicated and controlled. It provides clients and project managers with information to manage immediate and future strategies. Project planning highlights which activities lay on, or close to, the project's critical path. It is also important in allowing us to monitor and control progress.

K2’s Programme Management service recognises that the successful delivery of a portfolio of projects is not just the management of a number of separate projects but has at its heart a fully integrated and coordinated programme of work aligned to a client’s business and strategic objectives. Key interfaces, risks and opportunities are identified and managed, thereby maximizing our client’s investment and avoiding duplication and waste between projects.
Our capability to successfully manage programmes of work involves understanding and capturing our client’s strategic objectives and translating that into an overall master plan for their delivery; which identifies not only the key activities but also the interdependencies between individual phases or projects. Programme risk management techniques are actively applied and management strategies developed.
