K2 makes post pandemic investment

Attracting new talent

Like many other construction consultancies K2 has been through a tough couple of years. In January 2020 we were looking forward to one of our best years ever, but that all changed.

In the ensuing period we have faced some major challenges – which you will all be familiar with – and the future appeared very uncertain. But we have worked hard to attract new and exceptional talent to K2 – we have quite a few fantastic additions to the team – and I’m delighted to say that we are now emerging from the pandemic with renewed purpose and vigour. We’ve definitely got our mojo back!

K2’s offer to the market has always been based on our technical construction expertise, founded on our background in Construction Management, but now more than ever we are focused on delivering real project solutions, not simply services, to our clients – much needed as the industry modernises and digitalises.

At the heart of this is our belief in harnessing the power of the team to develop the right solution for each project. We really believe in trusting the team – engaging early with suppliers and specialist trade contractors to help deliver certainty of outcome – for example, on our world beating new project with SeAH Wind in Teesside.

To really drive our renewed proposition forward, we have made some key hires to develop a strong team, based in London, but as ever operating right across the UK, and beyond. The support we have from our investors, Otak and Hanmi Global, is helping us grow into some new markets as well as internationally.

Over coming weeks and months you will see more communications from me, my fellow directors, and other colleagues, as we provide some insight into key current issues and invite you to engage in discussion about how we can work together on some of the industry’s challenges.
