K2 Consultancy has been appointed to provide an independent, strategic review of the process used by the Government of Jersey to develop their planned new hospital.

This includes identification of a preferred site for the high profile ‘Future Hospital Project’ and a review of the governance and decision making process that has led to the final site recommendation.

An assessment of potential sites for the hospital was carried out earlier this year and the GoJ are seeking ministerial approval of the preferred site this month.

The final choice of site at Overdale as the best site for Jersey’s £550m new hospital, is to be put before the States Assembly today, 17 November for approval.

Construction consultants K2 have partnered with healthcare planning and strategy specialists Archus to carry out this commission.

The GoJ Chief Minister published a report on the development of a new hospital in 2019, highlighting the process for establishing the clinical requirements, shortlisting potential locations and agreeing a site after public engagement.
