Working with Jansons Property, K2 initially managed the feasibility, tenant legal agreements and overall development agreement. We then managed the design, the town planning process, procurement and oversaw the demolition of existing buildings, land remediation and construction of two out-of-town buildings in Reading. The buildings were pre-let to Aldi (16,400 sq. ft.), Pure Gym (16,000 sq. ft.) and Greene King (7,400 sq. ft.). The works were implemented in two phases, firstly the demolition during late 2014, and the construction during 2015. Each tenant required their own design standards to be incorporated into the shell and core works. K2 were also involved in managing the agreements for lease, as well as the forward sale. The works were completed to the client’s time frame, budget, and successfully handed over to the three tenants. K2 also managed the new highway’s cross-overs and statutory services procurement.
