K2 are appointed to lead the development, maximising value and assisting the commercial and technical teams in preparing project enabling works in advance of a planning decision. Duties involve creation of a master programme, analysing risk, cash flow to site start, Project Execution Plan, DLR asset protection agreement and utility infrastructure disconnections, diversions and new connections.

The Rifle Street development consists of demolition of existing buildings on the site and redevelopment to provide new buildings ranging from three to thirteen storeys comprising 273 residential units, including affordable housing together with associated car parking, landscaping and infrastructure works.

An integrated master programme has helped ensure full coordination between design consultants, procurement programmes and construction targets.

Early consultation with utility service providers has enabled disconnection and diversion works to be programmed ahead of construction activities with the aim to avoid delays once on site. Ensuring existing capacity and necessary upgrades to infrastructure allows for design and cost certainty from the onset.
