K2 is leading a multi-disciplinary team in working with Westminster CC to develop an exceptional mixed-use scheme on a challenging and constrained site in a key location in the heart of London’s West End. The development is set to be a landmark asset for WCC, designed and constructed to WCC’s high sustainable design standards.
The project is at option review stage, with the preferred option featuring a 15 storey, mixed-use building with multiple basement levels. K2 assembled a team of independent specialists to work with WCC’s appointed architect, Allies and Morrison, to produce an outstanding commercial asset in keeping with its location.
The proposed development will be constructed in a sensitive Conservation Area, on a constrained site, involving many stakeholders. It will be a BREEAM Outstanding development.
The site is alongside The Londoner Hotel which featured some of London’s most complex engineering and construction solutions, with six basement levels. Huguenot House will feature many similar construction, challenges with deep excavation and extensive temporary works to support the adjoining properties.
