Strategic management role

Regeneration of the site of a former hospital to develop a major residential scheme of 1,250 homes, including a Grade II listed building at its heart, with associated infrastructure.

A consortium of Taylor Wimpey, Bloor Homes and Bellway completed on the purchase of the former Severalls Hospital from the Homes and Communities Agency in 2016 to develop the site for residential use. The site is approximately 35ha and the former psychiatric hospital’s grounds are designated as a Registered Park and Garden.

Strategic management role

K2 were appointed to support the viability appraisal and project manage and commercially manage the infrastructure of the scheme – consisting of groundworks, roads, footpaths, service mains and ducts, street lighting, road widening, demolition, public open spaces and section 106 contributions. We managed an enabling works package which delivered the full infrastructure and prepared development plots for each of the JV companies.
